You're here already so why not stay a while!
Stock up on pastries at Bostock Bakery in East Linton.
Head up the coast to North Berwick and get the ferry to the Isle of May, which is a protected island for birds. For keen golfers make sure to bring your clubs and continue down to Gullane and Aberlady!
Our home town!
Lots of interesting sites and museums! A few of our favs; Kelvingrove Museum, Hunterian Museum, Riverside Transport Museum, Tenement House, The Lighthouse, The Burrell Collection in Pollock Park (also home to some highland coos).
A foodies delight - ask us for restaurant recommendations.
And be sure to stop by to say hi to the Duke of Wellington in the city centre.
Edinburgh Castle, the National Museum of Scotland, cobbled streets and Harry Potter vibes. If you fancy a hike you could also head up Arthur's Seat for some dramatic views. A beautiful city and well worth visiting.
Home to many a cute little fishing village and also the famous university town of St Andrews.
Be sure to stop at Crail, Anstruther, Pittenween and St Monans.
Perfect for an ice cream cone and fresh fish and chips.
We love a Scottish Island! See some of our favourites below.
Known as 'Scotland in Miniature' for a reason.
This is one of our favourite islands (and the first we visited together).
Two distilleries, nice hotels, scenic views and a munro to climb (if you're up for the challenge).
At only a couple of hours from Glasgow (ferry included) this one is perfect if you're here for a short time, but want to experience the best of Scotland.
Drama, romance, pristine beaches.
Skye's dramatic scenery is a bucket list item for sure. We cannot recommend it enough (and you don't even need a ferry for this one!).
One if you have more time as it's approximately a 5-6 hour drive from Glasgow/ Edinburgh (although you get incredible highland views along the way). We would recommend staying no less than 4 days to make it worth your while.
What's the Story in Tobermory...
Home to the backdrop of the BBC classic Balamory, Mull is an insta dream. Cute colourful houses, beautiful scenery, sealife boat trips and greenhouse cheese shops...
We've only been once, but it's a firm favourite and is top of our list to return to.
Technically one Island with two distinct personalities.
Located in the outer Hebrides and can be accessed via ferry (or flying if you're short on time) to Stornaway in Lewis.
For caribbean-esque beaches, whisky and gin distilleries, incredible scenery and fresh seafood, we recommend heading straight down to Harris (sorry Lewis).
Whisky Galore!
Not as atmospheric as some of the others on this list as it is much flatter due to essentially being one giant peat bog!
Home to nine distilleries, one if you fancy a dram (or several).
